There are several advantages which separate Bodylastics from the rest of the resistance bands on the market. Bodylastics was the first adjustable resistance bands system available, and we have sold over 1 million systems since 1998. Over the past 15 years we have listened to our customers and improved our products year after year. Bodylastics International guarantees that all of the Bodylastics systems are the best on the market, period! Yes, there are TONS of copycats making a lot of outrageous claims, but there is only one Bodylastics that delivers the real deal. Check out the list of advantages below:
1. D.G.S. Anti-Snap technology - Let's start with this first. This was a HUGE game changer back in 2011. While resistance bands are fantastic for building muscle they have one drawback - snapping! Most bands snap because the user unknowing overstretches the band, which can create tiny tears in the latex. When there are enough tears, the band eventually snaps. ALL resistance bands snap. Bodylastics wanted to significantly reduce the chance for snapping. That is when we came up with the D.G.S anti-snap design. D.G.S utilizes a super strong nylon cord inside every band, which will prevents the user from over-stretching the band. Once we began selling our bands with D.G.S, snaps were reduced by 99%. 2. Large carabiner quick-clip system - Bodylastics was the first company to sell full length bands with clips on the ends. Our clips have changed serveral times over the years. At the beginning they were smaller plastic clips. Then we moved to stamped alluminum clips and finally we upgraded to the custom carabiner clips which we incorporate today. Bodylastics clips are larger then our competitors clips for a VERY important reason - convenience! One of the benefits of actually using our systems is that we know what works and does not work. We know that when you are working out, convenience is king. If it takes too long to switch your resistance levels you will lose your momentum. Bodylastics clips are larger so that you can easily grab them and depress the gate to attach or detach. Click here to read more
3. More latex for more resistance - Let's start off with an old saying "looks can be deceiving". There are several band systems that look similar to Bodylastics but are hiding a MAJOR difference - the amount of latex that they contain, and therefore resistance that they produce. If you were looking at two resistance bands systems that were similar in looks and price but one created 100 lbs. of resistance and the other only 60 lbs. which one would you purchase? The answer is easy, right? The one that created 100 lbs. of resistance, because you would be getting more for your money. The resistance level in an elastic tube is mostly dependent on the wall thickness. As the tubes' wall becomes thicker, the stretching resistance increases. Increasing the wall thickness in an exercise tube requires more latex. We have purchased and evaluated several of our competitors bands and they simply are not the same as Bodylastics. While the outside diameter of the band was similar, the inside wall thickness was not even close. Look at the difference in the image to the left. Which band do you think will produce more resistance? Bodylastics International's #1 goal is to give our customers the most for their money - purchase with confidence!
