Body Toning

BODY TONING:

Body toning requires a holistic approach to your health and exercise program. You can best achieve this by eating a diet of natural foods rich in fruits and vegetables and avoiding highly processed foods. Health starts from the inside out and the best way to be healthy and vibrant is your yourself the best food you can afford. Your exercise program should include aerobics 3 to 4 times a week and at least 2 full body resistance workouts. Choose about 6 to 8 exercises that work your body head to toe. So several sets of each exercise with your reps high, about 15 to 20 on every set of every exercise.

Tone or body tone is that healthy look a persons body has when it is fat free and exercised with consistency. When we are young our bodies have great tone without exercise. As we age in order to look and feel youthful we have to work at it. This starts with a clean diet schedule. You will never experience maximum health and vitality on a diet of snack foods. You must eat healthy whole foods as the main stay of your diet. This commitment to your eating with be reflected directly in your body tone. People who eat snack chips and soda LOOK like people who live on chips and soda. Do not let it happen to you. Eat clean. It's worth it. Reducing body fat and achieving that youthful toned look means doing enough cardio to keep the fat off. 30 minutes several times a week should cover it. Choose the cardio that agrees with you. Walking, biking, and of course circuit training - whatever works. The key is make it easy on yourself. Don't do intense cardio and grind your nerves into the ground. You will only last a few weeks on a schedule like that. Keep the cardio gentle. If you are the pulse taking type you should check and keep yours about at 115 to 120 beats a minuteResistance training is the same as cardio. Make it a schedule and intensity level you can live with. 6 exercises 2 times a week can have great results in just a few weeks. Workouts that last hours and hours are not needed or advised. Choose 2 exercises for the upper body, 2 for the abs, and 2 for the legs. Do 2 sets of 20 reps 2x a week. Start light and as the weeks progress add resistance but keep the reps in the high teens. Over time your strength, tone, and energy levels will reach impressive levels. Each time you train, try to do a tiny bit more, and you will improve. Do not repeat the same routine over and over. Always add resistance or repetitions as your body allows.

You can achieve a beautiful toned body. Eat good food, do fat burning exercise and resistance training several times a week and you will soon be buying new clothes for your new body.
